Invite Links

The invite window in Quest Portal contains two methods, inviting someone with a link or by typing in their username.

Game Masters can now create an invite link to their campaign.

Now you can add players to your campaign with a simple link and username invites.

✨ New

  • Dice. We've added our dice menu to the Character Editor. We hope it comes in handy when you are rolling for your new character.
  • Avatars. We have a new way to show avatars that now includes each character's player.

🔪 Elimination

  • Moods. We've removed our Avatar Moods feature. We weren't happy with it and wanted to take another stab at it.

💎 Improvements

  • Avatars. We now fall back to an image of your avatar if we can't render the 3D version for some reason.
  • Sessions. We've made some improvements to how we handle refreshing the browser while you are in a session. Now you should reconnect with the audio channel and see the scene that all the other players are on.
  • Onboarding. We improved how we handle people who try to log in but should be signing up, both with email and Google.
  • Character Sheets. When opening up the Sheet drawer for the first time, we now show a message that explains that you haven't created any characters instead of an error message.
  • Music. We've added better error handling to our music player.

🐞 Fixes

  • Character Sheets. Fixed issues with bulk editing Call of Cthulhu Character Sheets, disappearing text boxes, loading spinners, and a few more fixes.
  • Sessions. Fixed an issue where removing players from a campaign mid-session wouldn't kick them from the session. Now they should be properly kicked.
  • Dice. We've fixed bugs around rerolling; the button sometimes didn’t appear.
  • Dice Cards. Fixed an issue where the card displaying the result of a roll didn’t display the results of the roll. One job!
  • Sessions. Fixed an issue where in some cases, you didn't see other players in a session and another issue where Firefox users couldn't unmute themselves.
  • Campaign Invites. We fixed multiple issues around our invite flows, including better handling of resetting invite links, displaying messages around full campaigns, and accepting invites to campaigns when you are already logged in.
  • Avatars. We fixed an issue where the facial expressions of your avatar didn't go through to everyone.
