What is the penalty for failing a sanity roll?

When an investigator fails a Sanity roll, they lose Sanity points. The amount of Sanity points lost depends on the situation encountered. In published scenarios, the amount of Sanity points lost is shown as two numbers separated by a slash. The number to the left of the slash is the amount of Sanity points lost if the Sanity roll succeeds, and the number to the right of the slash is the amount of Sanity points lost if the Sanity roll fails.

What are the Elder Signs and how are they used?

Elder Signs are symbols that protect against the influence of Mythos entities. They are created or activated with a spell and can take many forms. An active Elder Sign near an opening or a Gate blocks access for minions of the Great Old Ones, but only if the entity cannot evade the Sign. They are often used to warn of danger and as a plot device in scenarios.

What people are saying about Quest Portal
Gabrielle de Bourg
I can be quite critical of AI, but this is the exact type of tool that AI is great for (at least in TTRPGs), as it allows us to focus on the creativity of playing. I can usually keep track with a rulebook PDF, but this really does ease up flow of the game.
The Nameless Nerd
Learning to use a VTT can be very daunting, but Quest Portal is the most user-friendly and accessible one that I have ever tried. I expected there to be a decent learning curve to figure out how it worked, but everything was simple and clear.
