Audio settings

Don't let the sound of silence be the bane of your session. Set your equipment correctly and you'll roll a natural 20 on hearing and speaking.

Please note: When you are using the mobile app the audio settings are controlled by the operating system and can't be changed from the app.

At the top of the bar you will see four icons that allow you to manage your audio - click to toggle them off or on.

The headphones icon allows you to go in and out of voice. When it's green that means you are connected to voice chat ( Chat: Voice ).

The microphone icon indicates if you are muted or not.

The note/music icon indicates if the music is muted or not.

The settings icon opens the audio settings dialog below.

Microphone

In the select menu you will see the available input audio devices. You see if Quest Portal is picking up your audio with the green horizontal audio bar.

Speakers

In the select menu you will see the available output audio devices.

Volume controls

You can set the input, output and music volumes in this section.

• Input volume is for your mic and will be 0% if you are muted.

• Output volume is for the overall volume of voices from others speaking.

• Music volume is the volume of the music playing and will be 0% if you have muted the music.

Echo reduction and noise suppression

These are settings that help improve the overall audio quality. You can experiment with turning them off and on to see how exactly they affect your own devices. We recommend keeping them turned on.
