PDFs

Quest Portal’s PDF Importer lets you upload your own role-playing rulebooks and supplements directly into the VTT. Once imported, the content becomes available to the Game Master Assistant, which can quickly reference rules, tables, spells, items, and setting details, helping you answer questions, prep encounters, and keep the session moving smoothly without flipping through pages.

PDF Importer is a Quest Portal Pro and above subscription feature.

Once inside the Global Library in the Library tab of the main menu you will find the Upload PDF icon next to the Search icon in the top right corner of your screen.

This option can also be found inside Campaign Library menu next to the Add Book icon.

If you click it and select a file to upload the system will attempt to automatically analyse and fill out the name of the file, the game system used for that file and a short description of the file. You are also free to fill this information out yourself before confirming that you acquired the PDF file legally and saving the file to your Global Library .

Once you have saved the file the PDF Importer does to work analysing and indexing your file. This may take several minute depending on the size of the file being ingested.

Once a PDF file has been indexed you can either access it from the Global Library, where you can read it in its PDF format as usual, or add it to the Campaign Library of a game to allow the Game Master Assistant access to its contents while also being able to access it yourself in readable PDF mode.

Once imported these books function just like any other Marketplace purchase.
