Mutant: Year Zero takes you to the world after the great Apocalypse. Humanity’s proud civilization has fallen. The cities are dead wastelands, winds sweeping along empty streets turned into graveyards. But life ­remains. Among the ruins, the People live. You are the heirs of humanity – but not quite human anymore. Your bodies and minds are capable of superhuman feats. You are mutants. With a focus on survival, exploration, and community dynamics, the game offers a grim yet intriguing backdrop where humanity's remnants strive to rebuild amidst the ruins. Mutant: Year Zero has two major game environments, each with its own style of play - the Ark and The Zone. The Ark being your home - although not as safe and as comforting as we know home to be. The Zone is the wastelands, everything outside the Ark that’s dangerous and inhospitable. The game focuses not only on individual characters, but also upon protecting and guiding the Ark in alignment with your character’s goals. Mutant: Year Zero uses the Year Zero Engine, which is easy to learn and requires a handful of d6s.
